Exodus 24:3 Then Moses came and recounted to the people all the words of the Lord and all the ordinances; and all the people answered with one voice and said, “All the words which the Lord has spoken we will do!”

The people had just confirmed their covenant with YHWH in the last chapter.

The next step after that was for the people to contribute something to God.

Our desire to follow God and be in covenant with Him usually requires our participation

The purpose of the gifts was to build a place for YHWH to dwell among Israel.

There was a specifi

•As important as the physical tabernacle was to Israel at that time, the temple today is just as important.

•And the process of covenant, offerings, building and His presence is just as important today.

•So what are the things God is calling His people in this body to bring today? Physically? Spiritually?

•EVERYONE is able to offer SOMETHING to God’s temple, no matter the form or the quantity.

c vision, and specific materials were needed for that vision.

God didn’t ask for only specific forms and quantities for the people to bring.

God left it to the people who had a heart to give to bring the materials in whatever form and quantity they had.

At this point, no design had been given, so the people didn’t know exactly what their offerings would be going to.

As the plan was laid out, there were lots of different items with different functions, but all were necessary. Some might seem more important or glorious, but they were all needed for the tabernacle to be complete.

1 Corinthians 3:16-17 Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If any man destroys the temple of God, God will destroy him, for the temple of God is holy, and that is what you are.

As important as the physical tabernacle was to Israel at that time, the temple today is just as important.

And the process of covenant, offerings, building and His presence is just as important today.

So what are the things God is calling His people in this body to bring today? Physically? Spiritually?

EVERYONE is able to offer SOMETHING to God’s temple, no matter the form or the quantity.

Beit Lechem’s Vision and Mission Moving Forward

  • God is moving on the hearts and spirits of many in our body and beginning to show us what this part of His temple will look like.

  • Whatever that Vision and Mission looks like, it’s something that can, and should involve everyone in some capacity.

  • As the plan was laid out, there were lots of different items with different functions, but all were necessary. Some might seem more important or glorious, but they were all needed for the tabernacle to be complete.

  • Do you have time? It doesn’t matter how much. Do you have skills? Even if its just manual labor.

  • Do you have spiritually gifting? It doesn’t matter if its worship, teaching, administration or other things.

  • The biggest thing is having a willing heart. If you have a willing heart to give, He’ll show you exactly what you should offer.

God is building His temple, His dwelling in this local body, and its going to take the offerings of His people to make it as powerful and productive as possible.
