Va’era: Exodus 6:2 - 9:35
February 22nd, 2020
Are we living life reacting to the circumstances that come our way, or are we establishing His order in the midst of the chaos? As Yahweh reveals the steps before us, we lay the groundwork to His pathway by walking out those steps. When we see His hand in the details of our lives, we recognize His sovereignty and the authority He has gifted to His children.
If we look to Yahweh to reveal Himself, He is so faithful to do so. Just as the cherubim are weaved into the patterns of the veil, so is Yahweh into the fabric of our lives. The Torah portions reflect life’s lessons for His children, as well as the seasons we are walking in. Our church went through what most people would call a “devastating loss” when our church was set on fire a month ago. Although this was tragic, we knew that Yahweh was in the midst of it. This happened during the Torah portion, “Va-Era” the Hebrew word for, “And I appeared.” It was very apparent that Yahweh wanted us to see Him in this event, as well as the new inheritance He is bringing us to. Exodus 6:8 I shall bring you into the land which I swore to give to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give it to you as an inheritance. I am Yahweh.
As Yahweh continues to reveal His will for our individual lives as well as our church body, we continue to establish His authority and His pathway through the noise. When appearances and feelings can be very deceiving, we have His truths to stand on.
John 4:24 Elohim is Spirit, and those who worship Him need to worship in spirit and truth.
Leviticus 19:23-25 And when you come into the land, and have planted all kinds of trees for food, then you shall reckon their fruit as uncircumcised. For three years it is as uncircumcised to you, it is not eaten. And in the fourth year, all its fruit is set-apart-praises to Yahweh! And in the fifth year you eat its fruit, so that it increases its yield to you. I am Yahweh your Elohim.
