YHWH is a Consuming Fire

Leviticus 6:5-6  The fire on the altar is to be kept burning on it—it must not go out. Each morning the kohen is to burn wood on it, laying the burnt offering in order upon it, and burning up as smoke the fat of the fellowship offerings. Fire is to be kept burning on the altar continually—it must not go out.

A fire requires three elements in order for it to burn:

• Oxygen - Represents the Holy Spirit

• Fuel - We provide the fuel - We ARE the fuel

• Heat - The heat is “the trying of our faith.” Being a doer of the Word and standing for God through trials.

Exodus 38:21-40:38

Exodus 39:32-33  And all the work of the Dwelling Place of the Tent of Appointment was completed. And the children of Yisra’ěl did according to all that יהוה had commanded Mosheh, so they did. And they brought the Dwelling Place to Mosheh…

During Israel's journey there were times of unity and times of disunity.

And now, the Israelites have worked together the past 6-7 months building the elements for the Tabernacle.

Moses is being instructed by YHWH on how to erect, set-up, raise the Tabernacle. And now they have reached a climatic moment in their journey.

The Tabernacle is now complete and functioning properly.   dam bwf-tov meod

Exodus 35:1-38:20

We are commanded forever & ever to have the oil in the menorah.  Don't worry—in His Presence He will light the Fire.  It is the same today. (Exodus 27:20-21; Leviticus 24:3)

Matthew 5:14  “You are the light of the world.  A city seated on a mountain cannot be hid.”
Ephesians 5:8 “...but now are light in Yah: let your behavior be that of children of light.”

Shemot - Exodus 30: 22-23

Exodus 30:23,a  “And take for yourself choice spices, five hundred sheqels of liquid myrrh,…”

The word myrrh comes from the Hebrew word for Marar (maw-raw) meaning bitter.

Myrrh is a fragrant resin produced by bushes and trees covered with very long, very sharp thorns. To harvest myrrh one must fight through the thorns and pierce the bark and cause the precious liquid life source of the plant to ooze forth.

The resin that flows and hardens is referred to as "tears," because it forms into tear like shapes.

The myrrh that was of high quality was called the "Myrrh of Freedom" because it was that which flowed freely of itself, or when cut that which flowed from the wounds.

Myrrh has a fragrant aroma but is bitter to the taste.
