The Book of Ruth is read during Shavuot, because it takes place during Shavuot & because Ruth is thought to convert on Shavuot.
Jewish tradition teaches that King David (Ruth’s great-great-grandson) was born and died on Shavuot.
Shavuot is 50 days (Pentecost in Greek, meaning 50th) after Passover. The 49 days in between are known as the Omer!
The Torah, God’s Guidance and Instruction was given to God’s people, then on Shavuot, in Exodus and again in Acts 2.
The Need for Pentecostal Power, Shavuot Style!

God, as the Holy Spirit came in the fire. Not only did they hear the Spirit come but they saw it as well. They saw fire appear and a little flame came to each of them and rested on them. The fire meant something very special and personal.
The Holy Spirit is God, He’s not an IT‼
He is in every believer. Holy Spirit does today what Yeshua did‼
We need to be reminded of the need for God’s power to do God’s work.
Because He is Yeshua. He is Yahweh.

And there is ONLY “ONE GOD”, James 2:19; 1 Timothy 2:5; Ephesians 4:6; 1 Corinthians 8:6; Romans 3:30; Mark 12:32. and Malachi 2:10.
Pentecost: A Day Of Prayer, Praise And Proclamation
The word for spirit, “pneuma” from which we derive our word pneumonia.
Pentecost was a “rushing mighty wind” and the word used is not “pneuma,” but “dunomas” from which we derive our word dynamite!
Once Yeshua had ascended, He sent the “dynamite”, His power to enable the few to “turn the world upside down” with their witness."
His last words, were “you will be my witness…” NOW THEY HAVE THE “DUNOMAS” TO CARRY OUT HIS REQUEST‼!
The excitement of Pentecost can continue in the church today.
I believe church ought always to have an element of excitement!
Church doesn’t have to be boring to prove spirituality/worship.
Au Contraire‼ On the contrary. Where the Holy Spirit is, there will be genuine enthusiasm, dynamic power, and no one will fall asleep!"
