Are you carrying the load Yahweh gave you (or your own)?

1. Why have we deemed regular study of the Torah so important?

2. In Leviticus 8:33-36, Aharon and his sons were told not to go outside the Door of the Tent of Appointment for 7 days, until the days of their ordination were completed. What do you think was happening during that time?

3. What does ordination mean?

4. How is ordination different than consecration?

5. Nadab and Abihu were just consecrated and ordained; what was in them that when they were put into service, they brought something to Yahweh that was not prescribed?

6. What does it mean in Leviticus 10:7 that the anointing oil is upon you and we are not supposed to go out of the door of the Tent of appointment?

7. What fruit has Yahweh produced in us prior to this “Stay at Home” time that has prepared us for this time?

Yahweh instructs Moses to Command Aaron and his sons regarding their duties and rights as kohanim (“priests”) who offer the korbanot (animal and meal offerings) in the Sanctuary. More instructions to the 5 offerings in Leviticus 1-5.

Is it a coincidence that the name of this portion is “VaYakhel” (He assembled) & “Pekudei” (Counting)?

This contrast of gathering during a time when the world is telling everyone to stay inside, isolate, do not assemble in groups greater than 10 (counting). This is also a census year, and in our last portion, “Ki Tisa” there was a census and a payment of a half shekel to prevent a plague. What??? How does this connect with our lives right now, today?
